I have an HP 8600 purchased a couple of years ago, serial # [Personal Information Removed], FPU # CM749-64001,

Regulatory Model # SNPRC-1101-01.

I have followed your directions and have gotten into System 32.  When I scross down, I do not have a selection for "spool", my choices are:  "spoolss.dll" and "spoolsv.exe".

Please help, I am MORE than frustrated.  Thank you!

this is really  old and resolved, but I don't know how to mark it as resolved.  Tried 'help' and it didn't 'help'.

Only the person who started the thread can mark it as a "Solution"...

Yes, I went through each and every step you recommended and got stuck at the Spool part.

@ph39871,

What happened when you got to Solution 5? Were you able to run the system file checker?

please let me know how to delete this original message (I am the original author of the problem).   It is very old and I don't remember how, but it is no longer an issue so I can't say 'resolved' since I don't know what the solution was.

I have Windows 10.  How do I stop spooling?
