I am missing HPScan.exe; I'm running Windows 7-64 bit and my HPLJ100 M175nw is wired to a router and so is my PC.  The printer itself seems to work fine.

I've tried scan doctor several times.  It lists the scanner but then later on in the diagnoses, it can't connect with it.  I've rebooted my PC, power cycled the printer and router and still scan doctor can't find the scanner.  I've searched all the HP directories and still haven't been able to find HPScan.exe.  If also run the complete solutions program (I can't remember the exact name) but it won't install because a dll is missing.  Still, printing is just fine so I'm assuming it's a software and not a physical connectivity issue.

Thanks in advance for future suggestions.

The link provided doesn't recognize the name HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw and the software can't find my printer/scanner.

To recap my issue:

I can't use my scanner

Scan doctor lists my scanner but then it can't connect.

I can't find HPScan.exe anywhere on my PC (running Windows 7 64-bit)

I've tried installing the CLJ MFP M175nw win full soution -aef.exe several times but it doesn't seem to help.

The link provided doesn't recognize the name HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw and the software can't find my printer/scanner as I've searched my entire C: drive for HPScan.exe.

To recap my issue:

I can't use my scanner

Scan doctor lists my scanner so it must be installed but it is unsuccesful in communicating with it.

I can't find HPScan.exe anywhere on my PC (running Windows 7 64-bit)

I've tried installing the CLJ MFP M175nw win full soution -aef.exe several times but it doesn't seem to help.

There are now 7 copies of "HP LJ 100 M175 Scan under Imaging devices in Device Manager.

There 6 copies of the HP LJ 100 color MFP M175 PCL6.

I've tried to install HP Support Solutions Framework -12.3.11.29.exe but get a message that a required dll is missing and the installation cannot proceed.

I've tried rebooting my PC several times,  and power cycling my router and the printer to no avail.

BTW, my PC is hardwired to the router and the printer is also wired to the router.

Under my HP directory, I have subdirectories of HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175 PCL6 and HP LJ100 M175 as well as HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175.    None of the bin sub sub directories contain the HPScan.exe file.

I'm at a loss on how to proceed.  Should I just uninstall every thing and start over and risk being without a printer which is working at present?
