Yes, I know that option in the Advanced settings to create a separate file for each scanned page. It has always been unchecked.
Who do I contact to get this fixed?
Can you post a screenshot of what it should look like on the page where I can click the + sign to add pages?

Hi woshidaveyboy,
t this point, I can only suggest you call HP. A support professional could, with your permissions, access your computer and navigate through to see what might be causing this issue.
The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
I would like to take a moment to thank you, I appreciate your patience and perseverance. Thanks.

In case this is helpful to someone else...
Scanning multiple pages is only availble when the resolution is set to 300 dpi or less (I found this crucial bit of information as a note in step 5 of this walkthrough for scanning with hp software/scanning multiple pages - http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-4500-e-All-in-One-Printer-series/5304875/model/5304876/d... . Once you fix that setting, the plus button appears.

Yes! Why the heck isn't it clear that for the "Add pages" button to appear the resolution has to be equal or smaller than 300dpi? I spend more than one hour trying to figure out how to make the thing work! That's a crucial information indeed. How come this is not clear to the user to know?!
