is it a 504 error? or 50.4?

a 50.4 error would indicate that the fusing unit is failing. Do you get this error code when attempting to print anything else from that computer?

Does it give this error code when attempting to print internal test pages like the font list?

49 errors are usually caused by a corrupt print job, or a job type that the printer can not understand. Printing from web pages is the number one cause i see in the field causing 49 errors.

you may try to change you paper orientation or auto rotate feature (landscape/portrait)- also i have seen PDF's cause 49 errors when there was a mismatched page size within the job- you mention booklet- alot of the time those are 2up pages on 11x17, but sometimes an artist might accidently put an 8.5 x 11 stuck in there someplace.

basically you just have to delete the job from your print que and try and resend it either from a different program or in a different format.

The first thing you want to do when the printer is up and ready is to update the firmware to the latest version. Just go to the link below and choose the first firmware program if using windows.
