How do you correct 'error occurred while setting scanner properties'?  I am running windows 7 64-bit new computer and hp 4500g510a printer/scanner.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled software/driver.  no help.

What program are you using to scan when this error occurs? If it is Windows Fax and Scan, check out the following link:
