Okay, so I have gone to the google apps and donloaded the eprint, however when I try printing from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, it says I have to use a Samsung printer. I am using a HP ENVY 4500. I have my desktop connected to this no problem. What do you suggest? Frustrated...................

Hi gloworm,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues trying to print from you Samsung tablet. The built in function on Samsung devices is added by Samsung and as such will only work with Samsung devices.
I have included a document on setting up your printer to use HP's ePrint service. After the printer's email address has been customized and the printer has been added to the ePrint app you should be able to print.

I bought my wife a Galaxy tab for Christmas. Tried to connect unsuccessfully to my network to print.
"Helpful" PC store said it wasn't possible!
I found two solutions:
1. Store to the external memory card. Stick the card in a card reader on the computer.
Copy the file to the computer. Put the file in suitable printing software and go.
2. Join the tablet to the computer using the USB lead and Samsung's free Kies software.
Copy and print as before.
Hope this helps.

Here is what was said a few posts back .... The built in function on Samsung devices is added by Samsung and as such will only work with Samsung devices.
This contradicts what is written in this document regarding printing from an Android device to the HP 8600 printer:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03679829
Can someone please explain how to print from the Android using the native apps on the device? I get the same message regarding a Samsung printer, as well .. from my Galaxy Tab 3. I tried to see if it would recognize the printer on the network, but it never saw it.
Thanks.

Hi
If you've got a memory card socket do what i said above.
It works fine for me. Up to now Samsung are hanging on to their machine.
You can look at the Samsung apps but I doubt if you'll find anything.
The HP stuf doesn't work. The kind previous supporters obviously don't own this
machine.

Hi .. .I appreciate the response, but to be honest, that solution does not make much sense to me, as a fix for wireless printing problem. Frankly, it won't work at all to print web pages, emails, or maps, and it if I had to print a file, it seems to be easier to just email it to myself and print from the computer, rather than screwing around with a mem card and placing it the computer.
Anyway, I do appreciate the suggestion. I wish the built-in stuff would just work as described on the HP site.
Thanks again.
