Hi,
It depends on BOTH your printer and your phone. What is your printer and what is your phone ? You can use iPhone to print on an AirPrint enabled printer. This is the list of AirPrint enabled printers (updated 15-Dec-2011)

Hi kentry,
Thank you for joining the HP Support community. I understand that you would like to learn how to print from your phone to your Officejet Pro 8600.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
- How is your printer connected (USB cable, ethernet or wireless)?
- What operating system do you have on your computer (Windows 7, Mac 10.8, or Windows 8, etc)?
- Have you installed the full feature software and drivers for the printer?
- Is your phone an Android or Apple mobile device?
Thank you.
Regards,
