I have the above printer and new Dell Inspirion desktop computer. Both are bluetooth and today when I went to scan a document, the printer said "To scan to a computer, make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer.' Windows: Open the HP printer. I have never had this message. I un-installed the printer and re-installed it but am getting the same results. Was told to install a WIA driver but don't know what to do next.

The printer does not support Bluetooth. Sounds like you have not install printer software and drivers to your Dell computer. Please download the following package and install to your computer
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ6970/OJ6970__Full_WebPack_1975.exe
Note: HP 697x (where x=0 to 9) printers use same software and drivers.
Regards.

Hi,
Windows and/or HP updates may remove something. Please download an run the following tool:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe
It may fix the problem for you. If not, post back full error message(s).
Regards.
