Hi @Kanon3,
I see you would like to print using single cartridge mode, but are unable to. Are you getting an error message of some sort? I would be happy to help you work towards a solution and get you printing using only one cartridge.
According to the user manual, the Deskjet 1510 does in fact support single cartridge mode.
Use the single-cartridge mode to operate the HP Deskjet 1510 series with only one ink cartridge. The single-cartridge mode is initiated when an ink cartridge is removed from the ink cartridge carriage. During the single-cartridge mode, the printer can copy documents and print jobs from the computer.
NOTE: When the HP Deskjet 1510 series operates in single-cartridge mode, a message is displayed on screen. If the message is displayed and two ink cartridges are installed in the printer, verify that the protective piece of plastic tape has been removed from each ink cartridge. When plastic tape covers the ink cartridge contacts, the printer cannot detect that the ink cartridge is installed.
Exit single-cartridge mode
● Install both the black and tri-color cartridges in the HP Deskjet 1510 series to exit single cartridge mode.
Please let me know if you are able to copy using single cartridge mode, perhaps the issue is somehow related to the software/driver on the computer and not the hardware itself.
I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks.
