hp deskjet 2544 printing problem, says... 

 

something seems to be wrong with your device 

device is in error state and cannot be reflashed because of this. resolve the problem and try again ?

 

and when i try to print something off it prints a page saying for better print quality,place on the glass, and then press a copy button

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are facing an issue with your printer asking you place the printed sheet on the glass and press the copy button. 

Don't worry, I will be glad to help. 

Did you replace any cartridges recently?

 

Whenever you reseat or replace any cartridges, the printer needs to be aligned. 

Please reseat the cartridges on the printer and wait for the alignment page to be printed. 

Once the printer prints the alignment page, please place the alignment page on the scanner glass and press the copy button. 

Once the alignment process is completed, your printer should work just fine.
