hp deskjet 3630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I purchased a new 63 xl cartridge for my HP deskjet 3630 printer but it still shows as empty in the printer settings. The printer ink light is flashing. I tried to print a diagnostic page but I received this message 'The print quality diagnostic information failed to print'. I tried unplugging the printer for 60 seconds to 'reset' after replacing the ink cartridge but its still flashing.  Please give me some tips on how to fix the printer.

Thanks for the quick response. I came across this help page before and completed the steps for trouble shooting. Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem. I suspect it is time to purchase a new printer as it mgiht be a problem with the black ink reader software. The other functions work fine, such as the scanner and the color ink detection. I was hoping the forum had some tricks not widely known or something I could do to trick the printer into ignoring the ink levels.
