laserjet 600 m602
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

We have an HP Laserjet 600 m602, which has been a reliable workhorse for us for the last few years. However, within the last week, we've started having a paper jamming issue. The error code that comes up is 13.B9.A2.

I've taken the trays out to make sure nothing is jammed, there aren't any small torn pieces of paper stuck in the printer. It seemed like it would happen more often earlier in the day, when it wasn't "warmed up". But that wasn't the case today, as about every 30-40 pages, or so, it would stop.

We've also noticed there have been "toner smudges" on pages, every so often. We get replacement HP toner cartridges only for the machine

The maintenance kit was installed almost exactly 2 years ago from today, on 2/13/15. There hasn't been a message stating that it needs to be replaced soon, or anything.

Any thought on what we can do?

Since it is telling you a mk is near I would just do a mk now as your pickup and separation rollers are probably worn causing the error. Once you install the maintenance kit I would think your issue will be gone. Until you get the mk I would suggest you swap the pickup rollers and separation rollers in the tray as they are the same but wear differently and I would with the power off remove and reinstall the fuser.

Thank you! I was leaning towards that being the factor, but wanted to check with others to see if it was something else.
