hp officejet 4500 - no scan options

 I can't scan using my Office jet 4500.

It always shows me this message below:

No Scan Options. Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot.

Please assist me.

Go to HP Solutions. Click on settings(bottom of page). Hover mouse over Scan Settings & click on Scan to setup. Set up as u wish. I fined PDF good & save to Word. This works for me. I sometimes have to do it after I have finished & try to scan the next day but I can scan!!!
Shame on HP for not providing a patch or selling this printer. Should be willing to exchange for a workable one!

The best way to scan with the 4500 is to use the icon on the startup screen. All of your scan options are right there.

Ok i think i found the solution , seems to be very easy  

First of all make sure you have installed on you'r pc " HP Solution Center" 

Connect the printer to pc and open the HP Solution Center 

Go to Setting's 

Go with you'r mouse on scan setting's ( don't click it just put the mouse on it ) and window will open 

From the window that has oppen select " Scan to... Setup" chose whatever you want from that list and click apply and ok! 

If this is not solving the problem then select the FRONT PANEL SCAN BUTTON SETTINGS and make the same thing as you did with Scan to ... Setup option 

This solved my problem with " No scanning options please reffer to bla bla bla " 

After making this you can use the BUTTONS on the printer for scanning without going on solution center
