I have hp officejet 4635 printer.  While using my laptop with windows 10 or my mobile (samsung and iphone), i am unable to print.  Error messages come up and say printer is offline.  on mobile it says unable to find printer.  Other than throwing the printer out the window, what other options can I try to solve the problem?

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 4635 e-All-in-One Printer and while trying to print and the error appears saying that the printer is offline. From a mobile device, it says that it cannot find the printer. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. I'll do my best to help you ou with this case:

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Is the printer able to make a copy?
  • Do you see any blinking lights on the printer?
  • Did any changes take place on the network or the printer before the issue started?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue still persists then please follow the steps from this link: Printer is Offline (Windows)

If the issue still persists then the steps from this link should help: Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection

Hope this information helps. Let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂
