Hi@josh9,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP community. A very good day to you. I understand that you require assistance regarding installing the printer on your computer. It will be a delight to help you.
.
Spectacular troubleshooting, superb description and splendid analysis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. You are a valued Hp customer and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.
- Is the printer powering up?
- Please let me know what operating system is installed on the computer to assist you here?
- If it is windows, then please let me know if it is Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 and if it is 64 bit or 32 bit.
- Is it a wired, wireless or USB connection?
- Are you able to make copies directly from the printer if has a copier?
For now please try these steps if the operating system on the computer is a Windows Operating system and the printer is powering on and working.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
Then please install the full feature software from this link: http://support.hp.com/lamerica_nsc_carib-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-PSC-2100-All-in-One-Printer-serie... please select the correct operating system and follow the on-screen instructions on the screen.
Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply.
