my printer (HP deskjet 3050) is only printing partial lines, bottom half missing

Similar issue accept top half missing from black cartridge, worked fine until cartridge is 3/4 full, neatly prints bottom half of the text just no top half.

Reset printer (unplugged. waited 30 secs and plugged back in,) tried cleaning cartridge contacts, printer contacts for the black cartridge, ran cartrige clean, cant do alighnment as black part of alignment page is only half there.

any suggestions?

Going through your post, I understand that you are having issues while printing with the Deskjet printer. To assist you with this issue, I need to know whether the printer can make a "Photocopy" or not.

Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Try to make a color copy as well as a black & white copy.  Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.

Also, when you ran the cartridge cleaning, did you get the page printed correctly? Or was the page only printed half like the other pages?

copying: colour parts are fine, blck and white misses half lines.
