@ccshvacr

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that you are getting scanner issue on HP Envy 7640 printer. I would like to help you out with this issue today.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • How is the printer connected to the computer, wired or wireless?
  • Which operating system is installed on the computer?

Meanwhile:

  • Restart the printer.
  • Press the Power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  • Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Cheers.
