need a new driver or one that will work for photosmart 1215 on windows 10.
currently it prints 1-2 pages of on line gargage , prints the document then prints 2-3 more pages of one garbage..

I have looked into this further for you and I may have found something you could try.
As per the downloads page for the HP Photosmart 1215 - the last full feature software package was for Windows XP.
Which means you will have to use trial and error to find a driver that will allow you to print with this model, and you won't be able to use all of the addtional features you may be used to using. (Meaning no advance print settings.)
This document for Windows 8 will give you a rough idea how to do a setup using and Installing an Alternate USB Print Driver.

Afternoon @Ratslugger,
It's the same workaround, you can use that same 990c if it is available in the preinstalled drivers on the computer. If the 990c driver is not there, then it's trial error to find a driver that works.
