Thats what i was trying to do but in the setup it doesnt give me the option to choose IP only the SSID and the password and from the panel i only have the option to print a network configuration page. Thanks for the help anyway.

You sure you went through all the front panel icons???? Is there a Network icon????

Yeah i did all these steps and i also read some of the posts on the forum before making my own, my printer doesnt give me any more options than to print a network configuration page, reset network settings or make a wireless network check. Anyway i'll try creating an ad-hoc network on my pc just so my printer gets a valid ip so i can connect to it and change it to a static one.
