Hi Rainbow 23 or Riddle, I thought the problem was gone. I was wrong. It is back.

  Looking through the many different things I have tried to resolve the problem, one thing I would like to try is seeing if using the "Windows Event Logs" feature may be of more help? I can see when I access that screen that maybe I might just be able to actually see the offending file, if in fact a corrupt file is the problem. I haven't been able to figure out if that feature can in fact locate the offending file.

  Can either of you explain if I can find the possibly corrupt file, or files,  by using the Windows Event Logs program? If so, can you explain how to use it in such a way as to deleting the son of a gun? I'm sort of think, in spite of running the various scan file fixes that I have tried ( SFC scannow Scan f and R )  a corrupted file may still be a factor. So, if I can some how find that bad file, deleting it may stop the problem.

   If you can, please either Rainbow 23 or Riddle please reply. Thank you.

@sciencemagic,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction.

That particular file cannot be deleted as it is corrupted and also may have infected your computer memory.

Hence, you need to re-install windows by ordering the windows CD from HP Phone Support.

Hence, please contact HP Phone Support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp

You have a good day ahead.

Hi Rainbow 23, thank you for your reply. What file are you referring to when you state "That particular file cannot be deleted as it is corrupted and also may have infected your computer memory.  Being  I'm not a computer wizard, I sort of thought deleting a bad or corrupted file might be a solution to solving the problem. How does one get rid of a possibly corrupted file anyway, Rainbow?

   Being I'm considering getting a computer repair professional person involved in my various computer problems; I have more than just the Windows error messages--slow responding browser etc.; I will wait before I pay someone for their help, ( I will try the various self help process first). I did ask the person about reinstalling Windows to solve some of my problems, including the Windows error messages. He said that a rebuild or reinstall would help my computer slowness,  (my computer is 8 years old ), but that it would not cure the Windows error messages I keep getting. He thought that was over kill and unnecessary.  In fact, he said those Windows error messages  have to be repaired before I do a reinstall, ( if I were to do that ),  other wise they will just appear if not corrected. Being I didn't retain his services, as of now anyway, he didn't want to offer any more free advice.

   So, being I will hold off on the rebuild for now, Rainbow is there any other suggestions you may have other wise? Or, is your opinion, the only way to solve the problem is a system rebuild, Rainbow 23?

   Frankly, I am blown away by ALL the possible solutions to solve the particular Windows error messages I keep getting. Also surprised none have solved the problem yet, and some have said 100% guaranteed to solve the problem. Oh well!

    Oh, by the way, and I probably should have stated this earlier, about the only time I get that Windows message is when I access Windows diagnostics. Specifically, I click on start, click on control panel, click on system and security, and after I click on system is when the error message appears. It is rare that the message appears otherwise. Also, when I log in and do so in safe mode, as was one of the things to try, the problem doesn't appear. But I am wondering, being safe mode deletes some of the Windows functions maybe that is the reason it doesn't appear then. What is your opinion, Rainbow?

    Hopefully, we don't give up just yet, Rainbow. I do appreciate your help and patience. Thank you.

Thank you Rainbow for your reply. I clicked on the link you gave, but I didn't see any phone numbers to call, as you suggested a phone conversation would maybe  be best.  Any suggestions, Rainbow? Thank you.

Hi Rainbow, I did click on the private message icon, (little blue envelope looking icon) but when I follow the instructions, I still don't see a phone number for me to call. Maybe I'm missing something with your instructions? But, if you are stating, click on the private message icon, then follow the various links and instructions, I must have missed something? Can you help? Thank you.
