I simply clicked on the link and followed the instructions.  I gave them my serial # which is on the back of the printer.  It showed I still had a warranty and to make a long story short....they replaced my printer with a remanufactured one, free from known issues.   I hope this helps everyone.  Thank you!

Are you a real person or an executive at HP doing damage control?

I'm a real person. I bought my printer not long ago, but after using it for only about 4 months I had a print head issue which i couldn't print anything. I went to YouTube for some instructions but found nothing. So I just searched the web & found the link I provided

Hi, when I like to print it's said problem with the printerhead. What is that mean?
HP Recommended

It means your printer has failed and requires replacement.   Follow the steps to get a replacement.   Everyone else does.

I fixed the printhead problem on my HP Officejet 6830 by cleaning the bottom of the printhead using some lint-free wipes. I published the details here: http://technicalinstructions.blogspot.com.au/2016/01/how-to-fix-there-is-problem-with.html

@CaptainDandruff

Thanks for the link 🙂  Very detailed

The only think I'd say though is that there is still a risk that the error returns. I would definitely advise that you call HP phone support. A replacement printer would have a fresh printhead in it.

I couldn't agree more with your insight...Mine was literally 2 weeks after warranty...HARDWARE FAILURE...I've come to know and experience HP as a GREAT printer manufacturer...[edited]
