What is the fix?  Printer is an HP Color Laser 5550 on a network.  Only happens on large files being printed from a MAC. Windows computers print the files without a problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated....

Hi jeeter,

Check out this thread. It perfectly describes the issue you are having, and the solutions that other printer users came up with.

Just wondering if you resolved this issue. I looked at the link from the other post and those did not resolve my issue. I have a HP Color LaserJet 3800n.

So I solved my problem. It ended up being that the person was taking pictures with an iPhone and then saving the picture onto her machine and trying to print that picture out. Well when that is done the picture resolution size is saved as a massive picture at 45x34 for the dimensions or something like that so you just have to go in preview and change the resolution to an acceptable size, in my case I changed the pixels to fit into 1280x1024 and that worked like a charm!

The indicated link in this thread no longer takes me to the promised discussion threads; it instead takes me to an HP product marketing portal:

  Very disappointing.
