How do I turn off the double sided printing feature?  I've already checked the forum for answers and tried:

- finding the option from the word document I'm printing

- on the settings of both my laptop and the printer itself

Thank you

As I understand you turn off the double sided printing.

Try the below steps to turn it off.

  • Open the document that you want to print.
  • Click File - then click Print.
  • Select the name of your printer,
  • Then click Printer Preferences.
  • Select Two-sided (Duplex) Printing option
  • Turn it off.

Hi Sandy

Thank you for your email.  After I've selected the 'name of the printer' there is no option for 'printer preferences' - only 'printer or presets or page set up', all of which don't give me any option on printing sides.  I've taken a photo to show you the screen but can't see where to upload it.

Thank you

(though the header may be different the issue should be solved)

Attempt the below steps, if issue persists:

1. Open the application that you are trying to print from. On the file menu, select "Print." The print dialog box will open.

2. In the in the print dialog window, you will see an option next to "Copies", which is the checkbox for Two-Sided.Uncheck the box.

3. Click the drop-down box that lists the name of the program.

4. Select "Layout" from the drop-down menu.

5. Set the Two-Sided option as Off.

6. If you wish to save these settings for future use, click Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset.

Keep me posted,
