My wife's printer menu touchscreen is unresponsive and displaying error code 0xc7140024.  I've pulled the electrical power several times and just let it sit.  Pushing the power off button causes the printer system to hang on shut down and it won't complete the shutdown.  I've cleaned the excess ink tray, reset each of the ink cartridges (none of them appeared to be leaking), adn the machine was printing just fine until this 0xc code popped up.  The screen says I need to call HP.  Apparently, you can't do that on the weekends.  Any other ideas?

Called this morning.  It's a known issue with a bad production run.  The unit is out of warranty, but they are replacing it this week.  Thank you!!!  I'll forgive being transferred to the wrong department and dropped twice while on hold!!!  Thank you!!!

how did you get them to resolve this?  I got the same error and they also say it is out of warranty but I've only had the unit since January 2015

Perhaps you ended up getting into the wrong department?  I had to call twice, but I don't remember the 800 number I used.  Keep trying because the first person couldn't help me, and when I got to the third person, I think, the doors opened and sunshine poured in.  Keep trying, and maybe refer to the post.
