The error 83C0000B has been observed on certain HP OfficeJet Pro 8010e, 9020e, 9022e, and 9025e printers following a recent firmware update aimed at improving functionality.
This error causes the printer to display an error on a blue screen and become unresponsive.
Step 1: Ensure the Printer is Connected to the Internet
- Verify that your printer is connected to a stable internet connection, either through a wired or wireless setup. This is essential for downloading the latest firmware.
Step 2: Check for Firmware Updates
- Go to the printer's control panel.
- Select the Setup menu.
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance.
- Choose Update Printer.
- If updates are available, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
Step 3: Restart the Printer and the Computer
- Sometimes, restarting the printer and your computer can resolve minor connectivity issues.
- Please turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Restart your computer as well.
Step 4: Use the HP App for Updates
- Download and install the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
- Use the app to manage your printer and check for firmware updates.
Step 5: Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on.
Step 6: Clear Print Queue and Restart
- Sometimes, a heavy print queue can interfere with updates.
- Cancel all existing print jobs from the control panel or your computer.
- Restart the printer and check again for firmware updates.
