HP printers can display various E errors, indicating different issues. Below, you’ll find generic troubleshooting steps that might help you resolve common E errors, including E0 errors:

Error E0: Cartridge Issue

  • Problem: One or both ink cartridges need attention.
  • Resolution:
    1. Reseat both cartridges.
    2. Clean the ink cartridge contacts.
    3. Restart the printer.
    4. Replace one or both ink cartridges if necessary.

Error E1 or E2: Paper Size Mismatch

  • Problem: Paper size setting does not match the paper size loaded.
  • Resolution:
    1. Load the correct size paper or adjust the paper size setting.
    2. Press the Cancel button if you need to cancel the print job.

Error E3 or E4: Carriage or Paper Jam

  • Problem: Physical obstruction in the carriage path or paper jam.
  • Resolution:
    1. Remove any paper jams or obstructions.
    2. Restart the printer.
