HP All-In Plan printer might experience setup, network connectivity, printing, HP app sign-in, account registration, or ink-related issues that prevent the printer or subscription features from working as expected. The HP All-In Plan support page provides dedicated sections for printer setup, account management, ink management, and printer troubleshooting.
The printer requires an internet-connected wireless or Ethernet network, and the devices used for setup should be connected to the same network.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Complete the initial printer setup

When setting up a new HP All-In Plan printer:

  • Follow the Setup Guide or Quick Start Guide included with the printer.
  • Install the HP app on the computer or mobile device that will be used to set up and print from the printer.
  • Connect the printer to a wireless or Ethernet network with an internet connection.
  • Make sure the devices involved in setup are connected to the same network.
  • Sign in to the HP app with the same HP account information used to enroll in HP All-In Plan.
  • Follow the instructions in the HP app to finish the printer setup.
After the initial setup is completed, the HP app can also be installed on additional devices that need to print.

2. Use the supplied starter ink during setup

Use the starter ink supplied with the printer when completing the initial installation.

HP specifies that the starter ink included in the box must be used for setup. For applicable cartridge-based printers, a full set of cartridges is provided after the printer is successfully set up and running.

3. Check the internet and network connection

The HP All-In Plan requires the printer to maintain an internet connection. Automatic ink delivery also relies on the printer's connection so that ink levels can be monitored and replacement ink can be sent when needed.

If setup or printing is unsuccessful:

  • Confirm that the printer is connected through a supported wireless or Ethernet network.
  • Confirm that the network has an active internet connection.
  • During setup, verify that the printer and the computer or mobile device are connected to the same network.

4. Check the HP account used in the HP app

If the printer cannot complete setup or does not appear correctly in the HP app, verify the account being used.

Sign in to the HP app using the same HP account information used when enrolling in HP All-In Plan.

The official setup support page separately provides assistance for:

  • Errors during setup and account registration
  • Problems signing in or creating an account

5. Troubleshoot printing problems

If printer setup is complete but printing does not work, open the Troubleshooting your printer section on the HP All-In Plan support page. HP provides this as the designated area for printing problems related to an All-In Plan printer.

6. Check automatic ink delivery requirements

Automatic ink replenishment is based on actual printer usage rather than a fixed monthly shipment. The printer detects when ink is running low so that additional ink can be delivered.

For automatic ink delivery to operate as intended:

  • Complete printer setup using the HP app.
  • Maintain a consistent internet connection to the printer.

7. Manage the printing plan

After the printer has been set up, the printing plan can be changed to accommodate different printing requirements. Unused pages can roll over up to three times the monthly page-plan amount, and additional page sets are automatically purchased if printing exceeds the plan pages and available rollover pages.

The subscription also offers an optional Paper Add-on service, where applicable.

8. Use the HP All-In Plan support options

If the printer still cannot be set up or printing remains unavailable after checking the account, network, and HP app, the HP All-In Plan support page provides:

  • HP Pro live support
  • Virtual Assistant for guided HP All-In Plan troubleshooting

The plan includes continuous printer coverage while the subscription remains active. If a printer problem cannot be resolved remotely, replacement can be processed with next-business-day shipment under the applicable plan terms.
