Here are troubleshooting steps you can resolve this error:


Step 1: Restart Your Printer

  1. Turn Off the printer by pressing the power button.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Step 2: Check for Obstructions

  1. Open the cartridge access door.
  2. Ensure there are no obstructions in the way of the cartridge or paper path.
  3. Close the access door securely.

Step 3: Reset Printer Defaults

  1. Open the HP app and select your printer.
  2. Go to Advanced Settings.
  3. Click on Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. Confirm the reset to restore the printer's original settings.

Step 4: Update Printer Firmware

  1. Visit the HP Support Website.

Step 5: Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Remove the existing printer drivers via your computer settings.
