If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8630 e-All-in-One Printer with duplexer shows an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) jam message but there is no visible paper jam, Here is how to remove paper jam in document feeder.
Troubleshooting steps

Turn off the printer
- Press the Power button to turn off the printer.

Open the document feeder cover
- Access the ADF area from the top of the printer.

Lift the document feeder roller assembly
- Check carefully for any small scraps of paper or obstruction.
- If needed, move the green lever inside the document feeder to the left to help release anything stuck, then return it to the center position.

- Left position: use to clear a jam
- Center position: normal operating position
- Right position: should be avoided because it can cause media drag
