- HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 - Print Error 9DB8B6
If your printer is showing a print error 9DB8B6 and having printing problem on HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 is generally associated with an internal printer fault that prevents print jobs from being processed correctly.
Troubleshooting steps:
1.Hard Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- If it refuses to turn off, unplug the power cord directly from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the other end of the cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors) and turn the printer on.
2.Use genuine HP ink cartridges
- Non-HP or refilled cartridges can cause reliability and print quality problems.
- Check that the installed cartridges are the correct HP cartridge numbers for your region and printer model.
3.Check estimated ink levels
- On the printer control panel, open the Dashboard and touch the Ink Level Indicator.
4.Replace empty ink cartridges
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
- Remove the empty cartridge and install a new one.
- Make sure each cartridge clicks into place and none stick out farther than the others.
5.Check paper and print settings
- Use clean, wrinkle-free paper.
- Make sure the correct paper type, size, color, and print quality settings are selected.
- For best results, use appropriate paper such as plain paper with ColorLok for documents or HP Advanced Photo Paper for photos.
6.Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
- Load plain white paper.
- On the control panel, open Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report.
- Review the report:
- If color blocks are streaked or missing, clean the printhead.
- If lines are not straight or connected, align the printhead.
7.Clean the printhead
- On the control panel, open Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- If needed, run additional cleaning cycles.
- Note: That a badly clogged printhead might require repeating cleaning after 30 minutes.
8.Align the printhead
- On the control panel, open Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- Scan the alignment page when prompted.
Reason
- Empty ink cartridges
- Clogged printhead
- Misaligned printhead
- Incorrect paper or print settings
- Poor paper condition
- Non-HP or refilled cartridges
- A failed printhead that may need replacement
