Troubleshooting Steps

Check the ink cartridges for leaks
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Wait until the carriage stops moving.
- Remove each ink cartridge one at a time.
- Inspect each cartridge for leaking ink.
- Replace any leaking cartridge. Do not use leaking cartridges.
- Reinstall cartridges that are not leaking.
- Close the cartridge access door.

Reset the printer
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- If it does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
- Turn the printer back on.

Reseat the printhead (only if your printer has a removable printhead with a latch)
- Open the cartridge access area.
- Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
- Check whether the carriage has a latch.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Lift the carriage latch.
- Slightly lift the printhead, then place it back down.
- Gently wiggle the printhead left and right.
- Lower the latch until it stops.
- Close the access area.
- Reconnect the power cord.

- If the error remains, you can repeat the printhead reseating steps up to three times.
