Hi @SBF55,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing a blue screen on an HP printer can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor glitches. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check Connections: Ensure all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in.
  • Update Printer Firmware/Drivers: Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Also, make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the blue screen error.
  • Reset Printer Settings: Some HP printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Try resetting the printer to its factory defaults to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
