Hello, I was wondering if my printer was capable of printing Cardstock and what thickness if it does. I can’t see a card setting in the paper selection bit? If it doesn’t what printer would be best for a at home budget.

As per the paper-handling specifications available here, HP OfficeJet 3831 supports card stock paper. I believe you can use the card stock papers listed below:
Are you using one of the card stock paper in the above list?
Which application are you using to print?

I read your post and thanks for responding. It is great to have you back. As @senan6806 is out for the day, I am responding on his behalf.
You need to use card stock that is listed in theproduct specifications of the printer which is compatible with the printer. Only those will work.
