I do not know how old this post is but I was just having this exact same issue with my hp office jet and MiFi Verizon hotspot. I tried all of the mentiones suggestions but none worked. However I was able to find a fix and it is simple. All I had to do is change my “Band” on my Verizon jetpack hotspot from 5 GHz to the 2.4 GHz band. Bam! The printer found the network immediately after I made that change. Hope this helps.
