i get a message, that my printer cannot print. it says i need to login into my hp-account for more information. but there are no more information. 

i cant give more information about the problem, because hp-smart doesnt give me any more infos about it. i have tried this so called virtual assistant, without any success. it doesnt know this kind of error message. i am a bit desperated, because i cannot solve this problem. i am using instant ink. i have switch the cartridge a few days ago and there were no problems at first. but after a few days the above written  error occurs. i put out the cartridge and put it in again without any change. 

can someone give me an advice what to do, to get rid of this annoying problem? Thank you very much.

so, i have installed the newest firmware on the printer and now i need to setup the printer again. trying to do so, but hpsmart cannot find my printer in the network. when i go to printer networkdata it has an IP-Address. My Mac has found the printer too. I have tried the way by setting it up with the WI-FI setup, but the printer doesnt go into the wifi mode. i have pushed the "x" button for 5 seconds, so all LEDs were on. then Pressed the WIFI and X button as said, the printer did something, but the WIFI symbol on the left upper corner didnt appear. now  a new error message appeared "Printer setup is not complete". But the message "printer can not print" is gone. lol

i managed to do a wifi setup by pluging off the ethernetcable... ok. so far so good. now the Setup is completed. but the message is still there, that i need to do a setup for my printer. even after powering it off, switching off, nothing changes. 

 

there has to be a solution for this mess.

Try these steps:

Check HP Account Login:

  • Ensure you are logged into your HP account on the HP Smart app. This is crucial as some printer functions require authentication through your HP account.
  • Open the HP Smart app and log in to your HP account if prompted. This should help in accessing more information related to your printer.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Ensure that the HP Smart app is up to date. Check the App Store for any available updates and install them.

Check Printer Status:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
  • Verify that there are no error messages or blinking lights on the printer itself.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it in and turn it back on.
  • Restart your Mac to refresh connections and settings.

Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Go to the HP support website and download the latest driver for your printer model compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina.
  • Uninstall any existing driver/software for the printer and reinstall the latest driver.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on the printer list and select Reset Printing System. This will remove all printers and scanners from your system.
  • Add the HP LaserJet MFP M234sdwe printer again and try printing a test page.

Check Firewall Settings:

  • Ensure that macOS firewall settings aren’t blocking the printer or the HP Smart app. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall and check if there are any settings that might block the communication.
