Hi @Igordar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Encountering an "Ink System Failure" error message after replacing cartridges on an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus can be frustrating, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a couple of minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can clear out temporary glitches.
  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert each cartridge to make sure they are securely in place. Check for any protective tape or packaging that may still be on the cartridges, as this can interfere with printing.
  • Clean Cartridge Contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Remove the cartridges and carefully clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Make sure they are dry before reinstalling them.
  • Reset the Printer: Some HP printers have a reset procedure that can be helpful in resolving issues. Try resetting the printer by unplugging it from the power source while it's still on, and then holding down the power button for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the error persists.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix bugs and compatibility issues.

Remember to only use genuine HP cartridges as using third-party or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause compatibility issues and may void your printer's warranty.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
