Before each print job, the printer prints a page prompting to insert a USB drive for job storage.  We have not enabled job storage for this printer and I can't even find that setting in preferences.  This is causing problems because this is the printer we use for company checks and we've ruined several checks because the job storage message prints on the check.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?  I looked at the printing preferences and set up and could not find any reference to job storage.

This setting is in the driver. On your computer go to control panel>devices and printers and right click the icon for your printer and then select printer properties from the drop down menu. Next click on the advanced tab and then "printing defaults".

Click on job storage and make sure it is off.

I ended up going on the printer itself and resetting it to the factory defaults and that corrected the problem.

Now, when I click on the advanced tab printing defaults is greyed out.  I can't click on it.  No idea why that happened.

I probably need to reinstall the drivers.

If you do not have administrative rights for the computer you would see options greyed out. Also make sure you are using the HP driver and not the Microsoft drivers.

I think they are the Microsoft drivers and not that HP drivers.  I will update.  Thanks.
