Hi @Cieron,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering issues printing from your iMac to your HP Envy Inspire 7720e printer, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your iMac. If you're using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your computer. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iMac.
  • Printer Driver: Ensure that you have the correct printer drivers installed on your iMac. Sometimes, an outdated or corrupt driver can cause printing problems. You can download and install the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Printer Queue: Check the printer queue on your iMac to see if there are any pending print jobs. Sometimes, a stuck print job can prevent new ones from being processed. You can cancel any pending jobs and try printing again.
  • Restart Devices: Try restarting both your iMac and your printer. This can help resolve any temporary glitches or connectivity issues.
  • Firewall/Antivirus Software: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software on your iMac can interfere with printing. Temporarily disable any security software and try printing again to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Reset Printing System: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printing system on your iMac. This will remove all printers and printing preferences, allowing you to add your printer again from scratch. To do this, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list, and select "Reset printing system."

By going through these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the printing issue with your HP Envy Inspire 7720e printer and your iMac.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
