How do I get my printer to print pages from my laptop when it says its ready but still wont print?

ITs and HP Envy 6052 printer. I have it connected to my laptop and phone. The laptop will not send print jobs to the printer. First it would say error printing on the computer and, now it will not even give an error message. It doesn't do anything but, it scanned a page on the printer and sent it to the laptop. ?

I would think (hopefully) that if the printer is not able to print, it would know (for example) if it were "disconnected".  That the printer at least scans is a good sign.

I don't know whether the printer includes a "full driver" software package -- it if does, this is what you want (in addition to HP Smart).

If you have not done so, download-save-install the Full Feature Software for the printer

HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software 

About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full" driver set (as opposed to the basic driver).

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart continues to be stubborn).

If other options fail to remedy the situation, consider updating the Firmware.

According to the specifications, the printer supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bandwidth.

Make sure your printer is connected to the band you expect.
