I have an HP ENVY x360 Laptop.  When I try to print to my HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer, it asks for Recipient Fax number.  I am trying to print, not fax.

@Jane2280, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro is set to fax mode instead of print mode when you try to print from your HP ENVY x360 laptop.

To fix this, first, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, find your HP OfficeJet Pro, and check if it has multiple entries (one for fax and one for printing). If you see one labeled Fax, remove it. Then, make sure the correct printer is set as the default printer by selecting the version that says HP OfficeJet Pro 9022e (Printer) instead of Fax.

If that doesn’t solve it, uninstall the printer completely, then download and install the latest HP Smart from HP’s website. During setup, ensure you select the printer driver, not the fax driver. After reinstalling, try printing again, and it should work normally.

Let me know if you need further help! 😊

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
