Hi @TBugs1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with your printer after replacing the ink cartridges. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Ink Cartridges: Make sure that the ink cartridges you installed are compatible with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and properly seated in their respective slots.

Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Remove the ink cartridges and clean the electrical contacts gently with a lint-free cloth. Then reinstall the cartridges properly.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there's any firmware update available for your printer model on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix compatibility issues.

Reset the Printer: You can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Look for instructions on how to perform a reset in your printer's user manual or on the HP website.

Check for Paper Jams: Even if the error message doesn't mention it, a paper jam could be causing the problem. Open the printer cover and check for any jammed paper or debris that might be obstructing the print carriage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
