HP DeskJet ink advantage 3545
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got a new tri color and black cartridge a few months back. It was working fine for a few weeks and then I started getting the error 'incompatible cartridge' specifically the black one. The message was " The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer" and it showed the black cartridge symbol.

I tried replacing it with a new HP black cartridge. When I installed it, it indicated that I have installed

genuine HP cartridge but before it could print the alignment page again the same incompatible cartridge message flashed.

I tried finding solutions online and one of the solutions was firmware update. I did what was asked and it still didn't work.

Please help!!

@Vishakha_0312, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document  HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridgeand the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
