HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One

Has anyone received any responses to the inquiry of the intermittent paper jams and creases.  My printer is new, and I am constantly clearing out paper from under the printer head.  It's as though the tension is too tight or something causing it to constantly get jammed up.  And when it does pint my paper then comes out with creases along the top.  These quick references only tell me how to clear the jam, not what is causing it.

@MSV02, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to deal with constant paper jams and creases, especially with a new printer. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:

  1. Check for Jammed Paper: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the input tray and look for any jammed paper. Remove it gently, ensuring you check the entire paper path.

  2. Use the Correct Paper Type: Make sure you're using the correct type and size of paper as specified in the printer manual. Incorrect paper can cause jams.

  3. Inspect for Obstructions: Look for any foreign objects or debris in the paper path and remove them carefully.

  4. Adjust Paper Guides: Ensure the paper guides in the input tray are properly aligned to the size of the paper you're using. Misaligned guides can cause feeding issues.

  5. Fan the Paper: Before loading paper, fan the stack to prevent sheets from sticking together.

  6. Avoid Overloading: Do not overload the input tray. Only load the recommended number of sheets.

  7. Update Firmware and Drivers: Check for any firmware and driver updates for your printer on the HP support website. Keeping these up-to-date can resolve known issues.

  8. Clean the Rollers: Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, affecting paper feed. Cleaning them can help.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Unfortunately I have done all those and nothing works.  It's as if the printer head is pushing down way to hard that is causing creases and jams.  Ironically another post has the exact same issue, which tells me this is a printer issue.
