Hi. How can I restrict Wifi access to the printer based on the MAC address (or any other way to avoid some devices like Windows PCs to print on the OfficeJet)? Philippe

Hi @PhGr

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Any device connected to the same wireless network as the printer will be able to print to the printer.

You may restrict the access of a device to the wireless router using MAC address filtering, but not to the printer. Your Internet service provider will be able to help you further with this. Or you may change the wireless password to your wireless router so that no one else would be able to connect to the network to print.

Alternatively, you may connect the printer and the MAC using Wifi-Direct which allows only the printer connected to it to print.

Note: There will be no Internet access on the device you are trying to print from while using Wifi-Direct. Make sure to change the Wi-Direct password from the default one.

For more info, refer to this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
