My printer keeps printing shadows on all text and images printed from a computer. I have tried printing from multiple computers, and from multiple apps (Google docs, Pages, Microsoft Word, and TextEdit).  I have cleaned the printer heads, and realigned the cartridges multiple times. The ink cartridges were purchased in the last couple of months, and they are about 75% full. Whenever I do a realignment or a printer-head cleaning they come out without this shadow. It only happens when I try to print something from an external device that it is an issue. This is the test page that I keep trying to print out.

Hi @elenamhs,

I'd like to help!

To better assist you -

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  1. Load plain, white paper into the input tray.

  2. Press the Setup button  on the printer control panel.

  3. Press the Right Arrow button  to select Print Report, and then press OK.

  4. Press the Right Arrow button  to select Print Quality, and then press OK.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
