Hi @Envynotworking2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds very frustrating to deal with your HP Envy 7858 printer getting stuck on the welcome screen even after you've tried the basic troubleshooting steps. Let's try a few more steps to see if we can resolve this issue:

Hard Reset:

  • Turn off your printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and see if it boots past the welcome screen.

Check for Paper Jams or Debris:

  • Even if it seems unrelated, sometimes printers can act up due to a blockage or sensor issue.
  • Open the printer and carefully check for any paper jams or debris that might be causing a sensor to misread.

Update or Reinstall Firmware:

  • If the printer manages to start, check if there is a firmware update available. Sometimes, bugs in the firmware can cause issues.
  • If you can access the printer settings via a connected computer or the printer's web interface, try checking for firmware updates there.

If issue still persists it must be a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
