Hi,

 

Several weeks ago, my several year-old HP OfficeJet 5232 printer was reset (after displaying strange error messages) and it cannot connect any longer to HP Instant Ink and I cannot install normal ink cartridges as it asks for setup cartridges that I don't have any longer.

 

Its serial number seems to have been reset to something like "0BADBADBAD" (yes, this is indeed very "bad"...).

Is there anything I can do do restore its serial number or to be able to install normal ink cartridges?
