HP OfficeJet Pro 9020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed 3 month ago my new Officejet Pro 9020 printer and did a full configuration including date/time. In addition I am using plans to switch the device on and off.

During the last monthes I recognized that the printer clock looses time setting and didn't turn on as expected. I corrected the clock setting using HP Smart tool and sync time feature. Some days later the time is wrong again.

1.) how to prevent the printer loosing time ?

2.) Why isn't there a NTP option to automatically set date/time?

All firmware and HP Smart software is up to date. I am located in Germany in CET time zone and all devices are configured to German locale.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Hello Betty,

I am using PLan On/Off feature to switch the device on in the morning (08:00) and off in the evening (23:00) to save energy:

Each time the device is loosing time the device is not powered on when I expect it to be. Actually last week worked well, correct time since weekend! I'll have a look for it constantly.

Thanks for your help

Yes, you can keep this printer in observation for sometime and get back to us if you need more assistance.
