My printer has both A4 and photo paper but won't print photos and saying it's out of paper

I recommend you to contact phone support to further diagnose the issue.

 

Follow below steps to contact phone support.

 

Step 1. Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Hi I have followed steps and I can get A4 to print ok but not photo paper still saying "out of paper"

Thank you for posting back.

 

You need to change the settings on the computer when you want to print photos on the photo paper.

I was using this printer ok when I first got it and it automatically detects and prints pictures on to photo paper. This printer has a photo paper tray as well as an A4 tray

I had the same problem... and came up with a quick and easy solution.

 

Select something to print that won't take a lot of ink and choose the plain paper setting.

Take plain paper... I used two and poured 99% alcohol over the top/middle of the sheets.

Insert the sheets into the tray and print on the pages  Each sheet will be picked up and pass through the printer.

This will clean the pick up roller... and will allow you to print again.
