HP Smart Tank Plus 555 Wireless All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,
My printer (HP Smart Tank Plus 555) has become increasingly unreliable recently. Printouts always contain a lot of gaps and smudges, usually to the point of making the document illegible. I've gone through the three steps of the "Clean Printheads" process several times, and it didn't help. The print quality diagnostic page tells me to try and "Align Printheads", but obviously I can't do that since the alignment page comes out all wrong which means it's useless for the alignment process. So I'm pretty much stuck: cleaning doesn't help, aligning won't work — what am I supposed to do?
The color ink tanks are about 3/4 full and the black ink tank was recently refilled. Firmware and drivers are up to date. I'm using Windows 10.
Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
